Humanitarian Aid from Indonesia
The Government of Indonesia, through the Indonesian National Army (TNI), has sent 900 People Air Umbrellas and goods to the Government of Jordan.
The air umbrella will be used as a means of delivering humanitarian aid to the Palestinians in Gaza by airdrop.
By March 2024, Indonesia would be the second country in Southeast Asia to deliver an aerial airdrop to the Palestinian people in Gaza.
Singapore successfully accompanied a relief landing mission from a C-130 Hercules aircraft to Gaza on March 20, 2024, in collaboration with the Jordanian Air Force.
A Singapore Air Force Hercules (RSAF) aircraft took off from King Abdullah II Air Base in Jordan, then flew at low altitudes over Gaza to deliver its primary relief package of food and medicine.
Other countries that sent airborne aid to Gaza are also cooperating with the Jordanian Air Force, which has been routinely sending humanitarian aid by air to Palestinians in Gaza since December 25, 2023.
Some of the countries that delivered aid via the air are the United States, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Oman, Bahrain, and Qatar.
Most of those countries also cooperated with the Jordanian Air Force in delivering aid by air.
Until March 10, 2024, the Jordanian Air Force has scheduled at least 40 air aid deliveries, including those with other countries that also deliver aid to Gaza by air.
Indonesia has sent the following relief packages: 900 personnel air umbrellas and 50 air goods via Jordanian AU aircraft.
The air umbrella equipment was transported from Jakarta to Jordan on a new TNI AU C-130 J Super Hercules helicopter on Friday.
TNI has deployed 27 personnel on this humanitarian relief mission.
The team will travel for 10 days before returning home.
Flight routes from Halim Perdana Kusumah, Aceh, Myanmar, India, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan.
Then, it will return home through Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, India, Myanmar, Aceh, and Halim Perdana Kusumah.
